Ericsson?s factory in Kumla, Modules Kumla, became a hub for radio modules and micro base stations, which enables mobile communication through radio base stations, in 2004. Because of this the factory focuses more on the logistics operations. This has led to a need to be able to plan the capacity for the materials handling system. This master thesis has therefore been performed at Modules Kumla to develop a capacity calculation model for the material handling flow during the autumn of 2005.The work has contained a mapping of the material handling flow regarding to which activities was performed and how much time they consumed.

Detta examensarbete innehåller förslag till riktlinjer förgestaltning av en lekplats för fl er än bara yngre barn. Detinnehåller också ett gestaltningsprogram för en lekplatsi Kumla, Örebro län. Utgångspunkten för lekplatseni Kumla är att den plats som gestaltas ska locka inteendast yngre barn, utan även ungdomar och vuxna tilllek. Gestaltningsförslaget formades utifrån de riktlinjersom jag kommit fram till och som redovisas i arbetetsförsta del. Dessa tankar om en bredare ambition för enlekplats väcktes av stadsträdgårdsmästare Edit Ugrai,Kumla, som jag också haft kontakt med under arbetetsgång.Gestaltningen förbereddes genom studier avlitteratur, deltagande i konferensen ?Lekplatsens nyakläder? arrangerad av Movium samt genomförandetav en workshop.

Kumla kommun är en växande kommun som har som mål att ha minst 25 000 invånare år 2025. En stadsutveckling och ökat näringsliv tror kommunen kommer leda dem i rätt riktning och som en del av stadsutvecklingen satsas det nu i stort på den nya stadsparken som är i full gång att anläggas sedan några år tillbaka. En stor del i den är Sjöparken, innehållande stora grönytor, sjöar, promenadstråk m.m. Det senaste projektet i Sjöparken, som invigts under våren är Växthuset. Det är en byggnad innehållande palmhus, orangeri, kameliahus, restaurang samt en del som de kallar Möjligheternas Växthus och som kommer att fungera i rehab- och integreringssyfte.

Att penisen inte haft en betydande roll inom den socialpsykologiska forskningen rörande mäns identitetsskapande, samtidigt som manskroppen blivit en tydligare fokuspunkt i media och samhället de senaste åren, är utgångspunkten för denna studie. En studie som syftar till att se hur män konstruerar sin identitet utifrån sin kropp. I denna studie antogs ett diskursanalytiskt angreppssätt för att söka svar på hur män i åldern 20-30 år konstruerar sin identitet utifrån sin kropp med ett särskilt fokus på penisen och dess inverkan. Det utfördes åtta stycken semistrukturerade intervjuer, som transkriberades och kodades i programmet Nvivo. Utsagorna analyserades utifrån valda delar av olika diskursanalytiska angreppssätt och även Goffmans dramaturgiska perspektiv och hans teori om stigma, samt Butlers performativa idé om kön och Connells teori om hegemonisk maskulinitet.

Brukare och brukarinflytande har på senare tid, blivit allt mer uppmärksammat inom den offentliga sektorn i socialt arbete (Svensson., Johansson & Laanemets, 2008, sid. 133-136). Frågan är huruvida brukare inom äldreomsorgen, kan göra sina röster hörda och vilka möjligheter till inflytande det finns för äldre i samhället?Det övergripande syftet med denna studie är att söka kunskap om äldres möjligheter till brukarinflytande, inom äldreomsorgen i Kumla kommun. Ett delsyfte är att undersöka vilka former av brukarinflytande som tillvaratas i Kumla kommun, efter genomförandet av projektet ?Vägar till ökat brukarinflytande och medborgerligt inflytande över kvaliteten i äldreomsorgen?.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

This study describes how a larger investment by a private company in the northern interior can affect a municipality?s economy. The mobility to the municipality is expected to increase and some of the direct and indirect effects that this investment can implicate on their economy are discussed. The method for this study is qualitative. Interviews have been made with the initiative owner of the company LHG Learning Center and with civil servants in the municipality of Lycksele. The conclusions drawn in this study are that the establishment of LHG Learning Centers in Lycksele will include both opportunities and risks for the municipality?s future.

The municipality of Kalmar have a problem, how to reach and communicate with young people in Kalmar. In today?s changing media environment it gets more difficult to stand out and reach audience with messages and especially with the new forms of media that has revealed. Therefore, we have been commissioned to develop recommendations on how the municipality of Kalmar can communicate with young people in Kalmar.  The purpose with this study is to investigate which media channels young people in Kalmar use and their attitudes towards social media in particular. We wanted to find out how the municipality should communicate to reach them and what attitude youths have against the municipality in general.

The family and relatives caring for older people in Sweden lies on an old tradition. The responsibility to care for older family members has gone from family to the society. The aim of this study was to examine the needs of family caregivers and their experience of municipality support. This study includes only the family caregivers who have the main responsibility for the care of relatives and have support from the municipality. The caregivers were not allowed to work more than 50 percent in another job.

This thesis deals with co-operation between municipalities viewed from the perspectiveof the small municipality. It poses two questions: How and why doessmall municipalities co-operate? and Which is the place of the small municipalityin a larger organization?. This thesis is about a language-stimulating activity, called the Book Teddy, which take placein Markaryd, a small municipality in southern Sweden. The activity is described and someexamples given of the Book Teddy's visits to the homes of parents and their preschool children.Similar activities in Värnamo, Kumla and Borås, which have been inspired by the BookTeddy are also described.Facts about children's psychology, language development and child language illustrate theimportance of stimulating language acquisition in the early years. The purpose of this essay was to find an understanding of what factors whichaffect refugee reception in two municipalities in the southern part of Sweden, themunicipality of Vellinge and the municipality of Landskrona. Three interviewswere made with three local politicians and these interviews were then analysedusing postcolonial theory. With the help of Matthew J. Gibney we identified sevenfactors which aided us in the analysis these were: Integration history, Ethnicaffinity, Determining who is a refugee, The wealth of the municipality, Thehousing market, The labour market and The action of other municipalities.We found that these factors were all useful in creating an understanding ofrefugee reception in the two municipalities. However they affected themunicipalities differently.
